MERI'S STORY

How I started

       I grew up in Hilliard Ohio. I've always been a jack of all trades, on the artistic side of things. Growing up I loved baking. I would always bake the cookies, cakes or cupcakes for family birthdays. I now live in Wilmington, Delaware wih my Husband Ryan, and our two little boys Zacary, & Caleb.

   

       About 10 years ago I became really interested in the art of cakes. I started taking a few classes and practicing with family & friends events. My first wedding cake was my sisters. It was beautiful & delicious, but I decided I needed more training to take my talents to that next level.

   

     It was at this point that I was lucky enough to get hired on as a baker with Jan Kish the owner of La Petite Fleur. She has been decorationg cakes for over 40 years & has  been published in all kinds of local & national magazines.  I quickly became a cake decorator learning from one of the best.

  

       Since my little family and I moved to Delaware I am now a stay at home mom & volunteer for Grass Roots Rescue. My husband & two sweet little boys are always here by my side to  clean/eat up any scraps or mistakes with no problem :)
